Recycled felt rug pads are available in a few qualities and we have found a 40 ounce weight to be one of the best. The weight has to do with the amount of fiber that is compressed per square yard of rug pad. The 40 ounce recycled felt round rug pad is about 3/8 of an inch thick and quite dense to protect any round rug on any hard floor.
A round felt rug pad will prolong the life of your round area rug by acting as a protective barrier between the rug and the hard floor. Use a 40 ounce round felt jute rug pad under any round rug that does not have a slipping issue.
